Professional Tree Advice & Arboricultural Consulting

Trees are valuable, long-lived features of our gardens and landscapes. Understanding their health, structure and growing environment is essential for making informed decisions about their care and management.

At Holistic Tree Care, we provide professional arboricultural advice across the Mornington Peninsula. Drawing on extensive experience in horticulture and arboriculture, we assess trees in the context of their surrounding environment, considering species characteristics, soil conditions, tree health, structural integrity and the needs of the people who live alongside them.

Our approach prioritises tree health, preservation and practical, considered solutions that balance safety, aesthetics and the long-term value of your trees.

Qualified Advice, Grounded in Experience

Our advice is informed by more than 20 years of practical experience in horticulture and arboriculture, supported by formal qualifications including a Graduate Certificate in Arboriculture from the University of Melbourne, a Certificate III in Arboriculture and a Certificate III in Horticulture from NMIT (now Melbourne Polytechnic).

Beginning with an apprenticeship at the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, our experience spans some of Melbourne's and the Mornington Peninsula's finest gardens. This combination of practical knowledge and academic training allows us to provide informed, considered advice tailored to individual trees and their growing environments.

Tree Health Assessments

We assess tree health by considering species characteristics, foliage, growth patterns, pests and diseases, soil conditions and the surrounding environment. Our aim is to identify potential issues and provide practical recommendations that support long-term tree health and vitality.

Tree Management & Pruning Advice

Not every tree problem requires pruning, and not every tree responds to pruning in the same way. We provide informed advice on appropriate pruning, ongoing maintenance and management strategies that balance tree health, safety, natural form and the needs of the surrounding garden.

Tree Preservation & Long-Term Care

Mature trees provide valuable shade, character, habitat and amenity. We help property owners understand how best to care for their trees, including managing environmental stresses, improving growing conditions and making considered decisions that support their long-term retention.
